Two treated by paramedics after caravan rollover

Published: August 18, 2017

Two people are being treated by paramedics after a car and caravan rolled on the Bruce Highway this afternoon.

Initial reports suggest that a woman and a man, who is believed to be aged in his 60s, escaped with only minor injuries after the rollover shortly before 2.30pm.

The vehicle rolled in the northbound lanes of the highway at Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast, just south of the highway off-ramp to the BP fuel station.

Northbound traffic is apparently backed up for some distance.

Emergency crews are at the scene.

Lucky there wasn’t one heading south on the Bruce yesterday morning between Proserpine and Mackay. Jayco caravan with one spare one the back and one window on one side of the back was doing at least 110 in the fast lane fish tailing for a good way the van wasn’t one of the sterlings (smaller) Victorian rego. In the past 3 months we have noticed that Victorians are the least courteous and don’t know the road rules of all caravan and trailer drivers on our roads
