Published: October 18, 2020

A woman has died after being run over by her own campervan on the New South Wales mid north coast.

The 57-year-old had just arrived at Coopernook Forest Campground at Lansdowne Forest, some 33 kilometres north of Taree, when she started setting up for the night.

However, the campervan started to roll and struck the woman, knocking her to the ground.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being rushed to Port Macquarie Hospital, where she died a short time later.

A crime scene has been established with an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident now underway.

The accident happened late on Friday afternoon. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
