A car has reportedly slammed into the back of a caravan on the Pacific Highway near Port Macquarie causing extensive damage.
Police say the caravanner had a deflating tyre and was driving slower than the speed limit along the busy highway.
There was significant damage to both the caravan and the silver Suzuki Vitara which collided with it.
Considering the scope of the damage and the presumably significant force of the impact, the 24-year-old driver of the Vitara was extremely lucky to escape unharmed..
The Macleay Argus reports that the woman was travelling south on the highway when her vehicle

allegedly collided with the back of the caravan.
Port Macquarie Police chief inspector Michael Aldridge said the crash occurred near the Blackmans Point intersection.
“The caravan was travelling south with a deflating tyre and was travelling less than speed limit,” he said. “A silver Suzuki Vitara has collided with the rear of the caravan and a 24-year-old Port Macquarie woman was treated at the scene.”
The caravan driver was obviously travelling at a reduced speed to thus protect the flat tyre plus the the other remaining 5 tyres.
Rig looks huge with 6 wheels.
But unfortunately it will be recorded as another van accident.
Feel sorry for the van owner, and of course the offending vehicle driver,
