We are after a mature 🙂 couple 4th December to 4th March with the month of January us being home to take care of our animals and 5 acre property. We currently have two old dogs one we are not sure will make it to end of the year but praying he does. The other a female who will be 14.5 and is still going but found out she has some early detected heart issues but still loves walking etc.. both are on meds and so they will need to be loved and cared for.
Two horses – again mature 🙂 – but its just checking them over and feeding.
Chickens – feeding and collecting eggs.
Gardens/Lawns/Vegie patch – taking are of what we have. You must be able bodied and healthy.
We envisage 14 hours per week in lieu of these chores.
Our plans are to be away till New Year and home for a month then away for a month.
You may need to stay in the home if amenable to that in our guest room whilst we are away as the older dogs get anxious.
The month we are home (January) – you will continue to do what is necessary but may be able to earn extra income in assisting us with yard work or maintenance. If you prefer to go away January – we can work around that.
Prefer non smokers – don’t mind if you enjoy a beer or wine.
Your home will live at the rear of the property and be connected to power and water. You will be able to use our toilet facility in the laundry and to dump your cassette in the septic outlet.Internet if you can pick it up can also be provided. Plus we have a lovely gazebo to use and a washing machine on back porch. We have had a few previous who usually come back – however – they are now travelling other areas of Australia. One couple stayed none months – another came back 3 times as they enjoyed our home and our time together and the other – 3 months at a time for last three years.
We are in a small community that enjoy a sundowner on third Friday of the month and some lovely roadside stalls nearby. Hubbie and I are easy to get along with and this is the only time we can get some time out. If looking for other work there are usually people in the area who love to utilise the services of handy people we have who stay with us.
