We are looking for a reliable couple to farm sit our small 29 acre hobby farm on the outskirts of Heathcote Victoria for the month of May 2025.
Currently we have 2 brumbies, Mother & son. They have both been handled & very quiet. Also a small Shetland pony all are on hay (round bales). 5 alpacas on hay only too, so no feeding required. Water troughs would require checking daily. 2 kelpie dogs which would need walking once a day, 2 chooks & bird avery with budgies & cockatiels. Oh & 2 goldfish!
Heathcote is situated in central Victoria so its only 45km to Bendigo our closest rural city, 50km to Seymour, 50km to Kyneton, 96km to Echuca & the Murray River & 120km to Melbourne. We have a IGA supermarket, hospital, chemist, post office, 2 pubs, 2 bakeries & numerous takeaway cafes. Heathcote is the centre of the recognised Heathcote Wine Region well known for its award winning Shiraz wines, so lots of cellar doors to explore if you like wine. It also has lots of bushwalking tracks in the national parks as well as Lake Eppalock only 10 minutes drive from the town.
There is a small self contained flat on the property if required. There is a ride on mower if mowing is required & quad bike if needed.
