House sitter wanted — Coonabarabran, NSW
3–20 November 2026
We’re looking for someone to care for our animals and property while we’re away.
Our newly renovated rural property sits on acreage just 4 km from Coonabarabran, with views of the Warrumbungle Mountains and beautiful night skies. There’s sealed road access to the front door, plenty of space to park a van, power, a shed for your vehicle and an outdoor BBQ area. We’d prefer a sitter with their own van, but we’re open to discussing use of the house.
We have green lawns and gardens, with water supplied by a natural spring on the property. Native birds and wildlife are regular visitors.
What we need help with:
We also have sheep and horses, but they look after themselves in the paddocks.
There’s plenty to explore nearby, including Warrumbungle National Park, Siding Spring Observatory, Pilliga Pottery, the Sandstone Caves, Sculptures in the Scrub and Crystal Kingdom. Coonabarabran’s shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and clubs are just 4 km away. The local golf club is on our road and has a lovely outlook, plenty of wildlife and a great Chinese restaurant.
Coonabarabran is on the Oxley Highway between Tamworth and Dubbo, so both are within reach for day trips. Dubbo is also home to Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
