We are seeking experienced house sitter(s) from 9 – 31 December 2026 to look after 2 cats, 2 horses and a flock of 22 chooks.
We have a simple but comfortable two bedroom cottage on 6 acres with Cobark River frontage and a beautiful swimming hole next to the Barrington Tops National Park, thirty minutes drive from Gloucester, NSW. (2 Hours from Newcastle, 3.5 hours from Sydney)
There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the main living/kitchen area, not in the bedrooms. Very reliable fast Starlink Wifi and TV/streaming services (Kayo, Apple, Netflix, Prime, Disney). One bathroom with shower. Deck overlooking the river, 2 space carport with power and ample flat land in front for caravan if bringing, Fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, pizza oven.
Responsibilities:
Chook care: letting in and out to free range, collecting eggs, keeping food and water clean and stocked, basic coop cleaning.
Horses: Feed in evening (possibly morning also if dry conditions and poor grass growth)
Cats: We have an elderly cat (18yo) who never leaves the house and has an indoor tray which would need cleaning and a 12 yo cat with catflap access to outside who requires no special care, just daily feeling for both.
