The votes have been counted. The results are in. The top three placings in the great Grey Nomads ‘Let There Be Light’ photo competition have been decided. After our judge – respected travel writer, Steve Jones – slimmed the hundreds of magnificent entries down to a top 12, we invited you to help us choose the winners.

Polling was exceptionally heavy with a good spread of votes for all our finalists. But, in the cold ‘light’ of day after the counting was verified and re-verified, the clear winner was ‘Pelican at Sunset’. Many congratulations to the photographer who will win a 24”x36” canvas print of his or her chosen photo, courtesy of Brilliant Prints.

The second placed photo was ‘Let There Be Light From Above’. Again, many congratulations to the photographer who will receive a copy of the popular ‘Grub in the Scrub cookbook’ by Bernadette Jackson.

Narrowly beaten into third place was ‘Light in the Sky at Greens Lake’. The photographer will win an incredible package of Grey Nomads website merchandise including a Grey Nomad baseball cap, a Grey Nomad stubby holder, and two Grey Nomad bumper stickers.

The winning three images can be viewed below. Many thanks to our sponsors, to our judge, to the voters, and – most of all – to the many, many photographers who sent in such an amazing selection of fantastic images.
