We are looking for someone to farm-sit while we are away from 8 July to 22 July 2023. Our small hobby farm has 5 horses, 2 cats, 3 dogs and 5 chickens.
More than happy for someone to stay in house if they do not have a camper, etc. There is a queen size bed in the spare-room, which is available for the length of the stay. Alternatively there is plenty of room for a RV, etc, with power and water available.
It is preferable that anyone house-sitting does not have any dogs, unless they are small. One of our dogs is quite dominant, and although great with people can be tricky with another dog if challenged.
Horses are all over 15 hh’s, and fairly quiet. They will need to feed twice a day during winter, so whomever applies must have had some experience in dealing with horses one on one.
Plenty of firewood will be left for the sitters to keep warm.
