Housesitter wanted for one month (21st June 2026 – 19th July 2026).
We are a family of 5 that live on a 60-acre property (20 acres cleared) on a hill, 15min from Mossman and 20min from Port Douglas. We have a 9-year-old border collie cross kelpie and chickens to look after. Some gardening would be required (watering of pot plants, picking up palm fronds – possibly a mow of the lawn if it gets too long – there is a ride-on mower). We have a handful of cattle that will need to be moved from one paddock to another, which just requires opening and closing of gates and ensuring water troughs are full.
The property is nestled against the rainforest with a 600m track to the top of the hill, where you can see Port Douglas and enjoy views of the ocean. The home is a modern 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house. An airconditioned guest bedroom and bathroom/laundry is located by the main house in a large shed (where a house sitter will stay if they don’t have a caravan). Happy to provide photos on request.
