House/pet sit required 22/08 throught to late evening 07/10/23 – duration is a bit over 6 weeks. I’m looking to secure a reliable, experienced, police checked pet and house sitter (prefer mature couple) with references to sit our 2 beautiful whippets at our home in Wandin North (Yarra Valley), Victoria.
Our home is on a beautiful, quiet 6 acres located approximately 1.5km from local shops and a 10 minute drive to Lilydale.
Our whippets are quiet dogs who enjoy 2 walks a day, lots of couch time with you, cuddles, and treaties. Our older boy Milo requires morning and evening medication. We’ve also outdoor fish that require a daily sprinkle of food, many natives birds that enjoy a daily feed of wild bird mix, indoor and some outdoor plants that require watering.
As we’re away 6 and a bit weeks during Spring, so a sitter who won’t mind hand mowing a small section of garden that our dogs have 24 hour access to, and maybe even jumping on the ride on to mow the 1 acre of maintained grass around the house would be brilliant.
The Warburton rail trail is approx a 10 minute walk from our home where there are endless km to walk/bike ride through the valley.
We’ve also berries, fruit trees, and a large veggie patch that are all great for raiding and
a small section of vines with a nearby picnic table to enjoy lunches with a glass of vino…very Yarra Valley!
Being on 6 acres, we’ve plenty of room to park a caravan, so our sit would suit a travelling couple wanting a break from the caravan parks.
Ideally we’d prefer a mature couple with either both, or one person, who are retired, or primarily work from home. We’ve a dedicated study room and a separate desk to the side of a large living room so 2 people can comfortably work from home.
WiFi, Netflix, Stan and Binge all available.
Our home is very comfortable and clean, and we expect to return home to a clean house and happy dogs in exchange for free Yarra Valley accommodation and utilities.
Police check, house/pet sit experience, and references essential.
