This two-day celebration of all the breeds of draught horses and the roles they played in developing the Darling Downs. As well as the opportunity to see the heavy horses working as they did in days gone by, there will be ridden events, and a competition in which the various breeds are judged against their respective breed standard by qualified judges. The event also offers heritage displays of blacksmiths at work, wheelwrights rebuilding wagon wheels … and rope making, ploughing, and harness fitting demonstrations. A marketplace will feature local artisans, old trades, and hand crafts … and there will be plenty of food and drink to enjoy, too. Camping is available at the nearby Bony Mountain Folkd Festival Campground.
