Steve says: This is definitely one of the most striking and original photos I came across in this competition. The total blackness of the sky, the sharpness of the piercing floodlights, the colours on the sand and reflections off the water; there are so many great individual elements that combine to make this a magical photograph. Seeing the rustic jetty contrasted with its powerful modern lighting is another thing I like about this shot. A strong, fresh entry!
