Extraordinary colours here, but so much else to enjoy, as well. The desolate nature of the floodplain, the crispness of the frosty morning picked out by the rising sun, the long lingering farewell of the moon. This is a picture full of character and atmosphere, and the pinkish glow of the Belt of Venus just above the horizon is really the icing on the cake of a truly remarkable photo. Well done to the photographer.
