This unique event takes place in an organic apple orchard in the heart of the Huon Valley. The festivities begin when a giant effigy named Big Willie is set ablaze. Then visitors are promised mud, embers, art and laughter, stomping boots and warming cider. There’s the wassail, a performance of sung poetry to bless the apple trees and to encourage a prosperous harvest. There’s also folk music, storytelling, and much, much more.
